Positioned on the border of Canterbury and Earlwood this project was presented with many challenges in planning and construction.
The development bordered Hughes park with the rear boundary being the centre line of “Cup-and-Saucer” Creek. Careful planning in the design and construction was required to ensure the creek was protected during construction.
The Townhouses were designed to take advantage of the parkland setting and expansive views.
The excavation encountered several challenges as the site was built on the remnants of the sandstone quarry where much of the sandstone that was excavated via detonation on the site to build some of the typical character post was buildings in nearby petersham, Redfern & Dulwich Hill.
The exposed aggregate washed river pebble gravel driveway compliments the careful selection of face brick and associated façade finishes which creates a impressive harmony that stands the test of time.
